Position Overview: Administrator Operations (2 Positions Available)
The Administrator Operations role focuses on ensuring smooth and compliant administrative processes across warehouse and logistics functions. You will support daily operations, health and safety compliance, and documentation accuracy.
Your contribution will directly impact the company’s ability to meet customer requirements, maintain safety standards, and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Administrator at DHL Supply Chain, your core duties will include:
- Managing all general administration tasks to ensure operations run efficiently.
- Conducting machinery and equipment checks with site management to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Overseeing occupational health and hygiene processes, including management of the battery bay area.
- Performing regular audits across operational functions to maintain compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Coordinating training and functions with the Operations Controller and Operations Manager.
- Providing administrative and operational support to the DC Manager and Operations Controller as needed.
- Enforcing compliance with statutory and company regulations.
- Assisting in the induction and training of new employees to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the workplace.
- Monitoring and recording the issuance and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensuring all incidents and accidents are properly reported and recorded according to company policy.
- Supporting stock take preparations, planning, and participating in physical stock counts.
- Ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved consistently.
- Implementing First Choice initiatives to drive process improvement.
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar administrative or logistics environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards will be an advantage.
