Delivery Assistant x8 – Epping Bakery role focuses on supporting the delivery driver with the safe and efficient transportation of bakery products to customers. This includes off-loading goods, handling crates, packing products onto customer shelves, and ensuring delivery accuracy through proper counting and verification. The role also involves providing assistance to the driver during vehicle manoeuvres and minor on-route issues.

Responsibilities
Delivery Assistant x8 – Epping Bakery role requires hands-on involvement in daily delivery activities. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the driver and ensuring that products are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Off-loading bakery goods from the delivery truck at customer locations
- Carrying crates from the truck into customer shops and returning empty crates back to the vehicle
- Packing delivered goods neatly and correctly onto customers’ shelves
- Counting products during delivery to ensure quantities match delivery documentation
- Assisting the driver with minor on-route tasks, including changing a punctured tyre when required
- Supporting the driver during reversing and manoeuvring of the delivery vehicle to ensure safety
- Ensuring that all handling of goods follows company safety and quality standards
- Maintaining a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with customers
- Working as part of a delivery team to meet daily route schedules and service expectations
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork, as Delivery Assistants are essential to the smooth operation of PepsiCo’s supply chain.
Required Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying crates
