Continental Seeks ESH Officer for Immediate Hire
Continental is hiring an ESH Officer! Embrace a role focused on investigation and compliance while contributing to workplace safety and environmental care.
Key Responsibilities
Accident/Incident Management
- Investigation Coordination: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, employing problem-solving techniques to identify root causes.
- Implement Corrective Actions: Develop and enforce corrective and preventative measures to enhance safety.
- Performance Reporting: Compile and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on accident information using tools like PowerBI and CBT charts.
ESH Management Systems
- ISO Certification Maintenance: Ensure ongoing organizational compliance with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety Management) standards.
- System Improvement: Continuously improve management systems to meet or exceed compliance requirements.
Compliance Oversight
- Stakeholder Communication: Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance issues, including environmental contraventions.
- Legislative Compliance: Stay updated with new and updated legislation to maintain compliance across the organization.
- Survey Coordination: Organize and coordinate surveys as per required frequencies to ensure compliance.
ESH Audits
- Audit Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule internal audits, including Health and Safety Audits (every 5 years) and Environmental/Security Audits (every 3 years).
- Audit Execution: Ensure audits are conducted effectively, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education & Certifications:
- Certified Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems.
- Qualified Risk Assessor.
- Qualified Incident Investigator.
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental disciplines.
