What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Forklift Operator with Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages, your role will be central to our daily operations.
- Mastering the Forklift: You will be responsible for operating a counterbalanced forklift or tandem truck. Your expertise will ensure that our bottled and canned beverages are loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.
- Loading and Offloading: Your primary task will involve loading and offloading products. You’ll handle these operations with precision, making sure that goods are moved to and from storage locations correctly and in a timely manner.
- Applying Rotation Principles: You’ll apply rotation principles to manage stock effectively. This means keeping track of product movement and ensuring that inventory is rotated properly to maintain product quality and freshness.
- Commitment to World-Class Operations: Our goal is to achieve world-class operational standards. You will contribute to this by adhering to best practices in handling and moving products, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence.
- Supporting the Crew Leader: You’ll work closely with the Crew Leader to ensure that daily tasks are completed efficiently and to address any issues that may arise during operations.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Beyond your core responsibilities, you’ll be asked to perform various ad-hoc duties as required. This could include assisting with other tasks in the warehouse or supporting different operational needs.
Skills and Qualifications We’re Looking For:
- Education: A Grade 12 Certificate is required. This ensures you have the foundational knowledge and skills needed to perform your duties effectively.
- Experience: You should have 3 to 4 years of experience driving a counterbalance truck (forklift). This experience will ensure you are comfortable and skilled in operating our equipment safely.
- Certification: A valid forklift license is essential. This certification confirms your capability to handle a forklift and demonstrates your understanding of safety protocols.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are crucial. You should also be capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
