Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is offering an exciting in-service training programme within the Manufacturing department, specifically in the field of Quality Assurance. The selected candidate will work directly under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager and play a role in ensuring that beverage production meets the company’s stringent quality and safety standards.

The role focuses on helping students complete their required workplace experience as part of their qualification. This opportunity is designed for those who have completed their theoretical modules and now need industry-based training to graduate.

Key Responsibilities

As an In-Service Trainee in Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for supporting the laboratory and quality control team with routine testing and documentation. Your core duties will include:

  • Performing quality control tests on raw materials, packaging, and final products.
  • Identifying and reporting out-of-specification results to relevant supervisors.
  • Documenting findings to ensure traceability and audit compliance.
  • Supporting the quality team in minimizing production costs by maintaining product consistency.
  • Assisting with internal audits and adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Applying academic concepts to support continuous improvement and product excellence.

This training will give you exposure to real-time quality assurance practices in a highly competitive, fast-paced environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Must be currently studying or have completed theoretical modules in:
    • Microbiology
    • Biotechnology
    • Food Technology
    • Or a closely related discipline.
  • Must require in-service training to complete qualification (proof from your institution is required).
  • Must not have previously completed an in-service training programme elsewhere.

Additional Criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be unemployed at the time of application.
  • Must be between the ages of 18–35 years.
  • Must be an Employment Equity candidate.
  • Must have a formal request from your institution for workplace experience.
