About the Role:

As an Artisan Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that our maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and have a knack for problem-solving. Your contribution will directly support the smooth operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Artisan:
- Assist in the preparation of equipment for repairs, ensuring everything is ready for maintenance work.
- After repairs, take responsibility for cleaning the equipment, making sure it’s in top condition and ready for use.
- Help with the movement of heavy equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in all handling procedures.
- Performing Civil and Semi-Skilled Tasks:
- Engage in a variety of tasks including carpentry, brick laying, painting, and welding. Your versatility will be valuable in keeping the facility in excellent condition.
- Take on basic office repairs, addressing minor issues that arise within the office environment.
- Clean cooling towers as needed, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.
- Conduct basic inspections to identify potential issues before they become problems.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF4 qualification is essential. You should have a solid understanding of business English and be comfortable with basic computer tasks. A Code 10 motor vehicle license is required for this role.
