We are currently hiring two (2) Cleaners to become part of our team at our Montana, Pretoria hospital. In this position, you will be tasked with ensuring that all hospital areas are cleaned meticulously and upheld to the highest hygiene standards. This is a great opportunity for those with previous cleaning experience, particularly in hospital environments.
Key Responsibilities for Cleaner Role
- Comprehensive Cleaning: Perform cleaning duties as scheduled for allocated hospital areas, ensuring the facility remains spotless.
- Special Cleaning Projects: Undertake special cleaning tasks when required, such as floor stripping and sealing.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Actively participate in health and safety checks and report any faults or issues to the management team.
- Adhere to Infection Control Protocols: Strictly follow infection control guidelines and health and safety regulations outlined by the Hospital Manager to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements for Cleaner Position
- Minimum Educational Requirement: At least Grade 8 or an equivalent qualification.
- Hospital Cleaning Experience: Prior experience in hospital cleaning is essential to ensure a deep understanding of healthcare cleanliness standards.
- Experience in Operating Theatre Cleaning: Previous experience in cleaning an operating theatre facility will be a distinct advantage.
- Floor Maintenance Skills: Ability to use buff machines for floor maintenance and ensure the hospital’s floors remain in top condition.
- Knowledge of Cleaning Chemicals: Familiarity with cleaning agents and chemicals used in a hospital environment is necessary.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts as required by the department to ensure continuous cleanliness throughout the hospital.
- Commitment to Healthcare Standards: A strong dedication to maintaining cleanliness in alignment with healthcare protocols.
- Accountability: A responsible attitude towards your work output and the ability to manage cleaning duties independently.
