Remuneration
The City of Johannesburg is committed to supporting your journey with the following monthly stipends:
- R9,960.45 for graduates who have completed a qualification (minimum of 360 credits).
- R3,500.00 for students currently enrolled in an academic programme.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- A Grade 12/Matric certificate.
- A diploma in business administration, public administration, or municipal administration, or NQF Level 6 in these fields, is required.
- Residency:
- Applicants must reside in the City of Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities
As an Intake and Registry Intern, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Office of the Ombudsman. Your primary duties will include:
- Customer Complaint Management:
- Log and resolve customer complaints and queries within set timelines.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and records management standards.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Intake Processing:
- Oversee the full intake process, from logging complaints to managing customer expectations.
- Present complaints at weekly assessment meetings, ensuring a seamless resolution process.
Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional service, in line with Batho Pele principles.
