The City of Johannesburg, specifically within its Group Finance Department, is seeking passionate, driven, and suitably qualified graduates for the Revenue Call Centre Internship. Position Overview: Revenue Call Centre Internship

Primary Function:
As a Revenue Call Centre Intern, your primary responsibility will be to provide top-notch customer service via telephone and written communication. You will be at the forefront of addressing and resolving account queries, using all available resources to deliver first-contact resolution whenever possible. In cases where immediate resolution isn’t achievable, you will be responsible for logging and escalating these issues to the appropriate departments for further action. The goal is to meet or exceed the performance targets set by the Revenue and Customer Relationship Management (R & CRM) department while fulfilling the needs of the City’s customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient Query Handling: You will apply established operational procedures to log all revenue-related queries related to services offered by the City of Johannesburg. This involves using your analytical skills to identify the nature of each query and resolving it on the spot if possible. Queries requiring additional investigation will be directed to the appropriate back-end departments.
  • Data Management: You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic records of all interactions and transactions. This includes logging customer queries, resolutions, and any follow-up actions required.
  • Performance Management: You will align your work with the City of Johannesburg’s Performance Management Policy, ensuring that your contributions are in line with the city’s goals and expectations.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with RSSC customers, peers, and other internal stakeholders will be crucial to your success. Effective communication and collaboration will help you ensure that the correct focus and support are provided at all times.
  • Resource Utilization: You’ll be expected to use the city’s operational assets and resources efficiently, always adhering to the legislative frameworks, policies, and procedures that govern the City of Johannesburg.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: A Grade 12/Matric certificate is required for this internship.
  • Residency: Applicants must reside in Johannesburg.

Skills and Competencies:
