About the Position
As a Bus Cleaner, you will report directly to the Workshop Manager and form part of a team that plays a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the fleet.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (required)
A completed high school qualification is essential. - Previous cleaning and general handiwork experience
Experience in a cleaning role, particularly in a transport, workshop, or industrial setting, is highly beneficial. - Mechanical knowledge is advantageous
Candidates who understand or have worked around mechanical components will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks in this role will include:
- Cleaning and sanitising the inside and outside of buses
- Sweeping, washing, and disinfecting all bus interiors including seats, floors, windows, and railings
- Reporting any visible faults, damage, or irregularities to the relevant supervisor
- Assisting the workshop foreman with general support duties as needed

- Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage
- Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Awareness of company safety protocols and procedures

- Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently
