Positions Available
We have 20 exciting positions open for General Workers, including various specialized roles such as:
- General Worker: Responsible for ensuring that overstocked, damaged, or short-dated items are returned to the distribution centre in a timely manner.
- Picker: Accurately pick stock according to picking slips to ensure stores receive the right products on time.
- Cycle Counter: Track and monitor the quantities of stock in the warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Forklift Driver: Load and offload trucks, move pallets, and ensure that stock is stacked securely.
- Reach Truck Driver: Operate a reach truck to stack pallets on racks efficiently and safely.
- Auditor: Count stock, check for damages, and verify that expiry dates are correct before dispatching goods to stores.
- Combiner: Combine stock on pallets, shrink-wrap them, and prepare them for delivery to our stores.
These roles play a vital part in ensuring that our stores receive the right stock, in the right condition, at the right time. Your contribution will directly impact the smooth operation of our distribution chain.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: A Grade 12 certificate or National Certificate.
- Experience: While no previous warehouse experience is required, having between 0-2 years in a similar environment will be beneficial.
- Licensing: If you’re applying for a Forklift or Reach Truck Driver position, you must have a valid forklift or reach truck license.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in basic Excel is required for managing stock data.
- Attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy in stock counting and picking.
- Effective communication abilities to engage successfully with colleagues and supervisors.
- The ability to work under pressure, especially during busy periods, while maintaining high standards.
- Strong teamwork skills, as collaboration is essential in ensuring the smooth running of the distribution centre.
- A sense of urgency and being deadline-driven to meet our tight schedules.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and managing stock levels.
Shift Requirements
- Flexibility is key in these roles, as we operate 24/7 to meet the demands of our stores. You must be available to work:
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekends, including Sundays
- Public holidays
