What You’ll Be Doing
As a Packer at Barron, your main responsibility will be to double-check completed orders and ensure that the products picked align perfectly with the customer’s order. This includes verifying the item’s specifications such as size, color, quantity, and quality. Let’s dive into the details:
Double Checking:
- Verification: Receive the picked order from the Picker and meticulously verify that each item corresponds to the order details. You’ll be checking the size, quantity, color, and quality of each product.
- Packing: Once verified, you’ll pack the order according to our company standards and securely seal the package with our signature brown Barron tape.
- Labeling: Weigh the box, print the sticker, and place both the sticker and the picking slip on the box to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Escalation: If you find any discrepancies, you’ll promptly escalate these issues to the Packing Team Leader to ensure they are resolved quickly and efficiently.
Housekeeping:
- Workstation Management: Maintain a tidy and organized workstation by applying basic housekeeping principles.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background:
- Essential: NQF 3 – Grade 11 or equivalent
- Desirable: NQF 4 – Matric or equivalent
- Experience:
- Essential: 6 to 12 months of experience as a Warehouse Packer, preferably in the corporate clothing industry.
- Skills:
- Ability to differentiate between colors is crucial for this role.
