Key Responsibilities
Your work will support Curro’s mission of educational excellence. The responsibilities are divided into three key areas: Cleaning, Hospitality, and Ad-Hoc Support.
1. Cleaning Duties
As part of the facilities team, you’ll handle various cleaning and sanitation tasks that keep the school environment pristine and inviting. Your duties include:
- Floor Care: Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets and surfaces across offices, lounges, and common areas.
- Waste Management: Removing trash and recyclables from designated areas in accordance with daily cleaning schedules.
- Restroom Hygiene: Cleaning and sanitizing all restrooms daily, restocking supplies, and ensuring high hygiene standards are met consistently.
- Window and Surface Cleaning: Washing interior windows in classrooms, conference rooms, and management offices.
- Furniture and Fixture Maintenance: Dusting, disinfecting, and polishing surfaces as needed to maintain a polished, professional appearance.
- Reporting and Maintenance: Notifying supervisors about any damages, repairs, or replacements required while performing daily duties.
- Supply Management: Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as needed to ensure continuous operations.
- Task Verification: Signing off completed duties on the cleaning roster for accountability and transparency.
Your role ensures that every part of the school remains clean, organized, and conducive to learning.
2. Hospitality Duties
In addition to cleaning, you’ll support the hospitality and event side of Curro Hazeldean’s operations. This includes:
- Stocking Supplies: Ensuring kitchen and boardroom areas are well-stocked with refreshments, utensils, and catering supplies.
- Meeting Preparation: Setting up boardrooms for meetings, including arranging catering displays, tea, and coffee service.
- Event Clean-Up: Clearing catering materials promptly after meetings or events so that venues are always ready for the next use.
This part of the job allows you to contribute directly to the professional atmosphere Curro is known for, supporting teachers, staff, and visitors alike.
3. Ad-Hoc and Supportive Duties
You may also receive additional instructions or assist in special cleaning or hospitality tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor. Adaptability is key—some days may involve assisting with school functions, while others may focus on routine maintenance or deep cleaning.
