Position Overview: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Fieldworker in the SBCC Division, your key focus will be to support the research process by:
- Recruiting participants from high schools in Ekurhuleni.
- Administering the study questionnaires and supporting participants through them.
- Explaining the research aims and obtaining informed consent from both parents and students.
- Ensuring participants understand and can complete self-administered questionnaires — whether in English, Sesotho, isiZulu, or other local languages.
- Maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism at all times.
- Communicating the goals of the Soul City Intervention effectively to all stakeholders.
- Managing field logistics, including scheduling, follow-ups, and on-site support.
- Keeping proper documentation and ensuring accurate reporting using standard operating procedures.
